Chef Location: Ivy Lodge, Haxby, YO32 3YP If youre a talented, experienced chef looking to improve the lives of other people, we can offer you a rewarding career at Ivy Lodge At our Care Home, you will be responsible for assisting in running the kitchen and meal experience for our elderly residents. By creating and preparing a varied and nourishing menu, youll directly support the wellbeing of our residents and make a genuine difference to their quality of life. Who We Are Looking For You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting. You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team. Youll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements. Wed like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role. How Youll Make a Difference Youll be responsible for our residents meal experience and running the nursing homes kitchen. Ensuring mealtimes are always a high-quality experience. Maintaining the highest food standards. Supporting, training and directing the kitchen team Mentoring and motivating on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
