This historic, privately owned Dales inn dates back to the 13th century and is full of character, with flagged floors, open fires, beamed ceilings and stone walls. The Green Dragon serves locally brewed ales and gin alongside traditional pub food, contemporary accommodation and locally sourced menus all focused on delivering a first-class guest experience.
The Green Dragon is now looking to recruit an experienced Chef to join their fast-paced kitchen team.
What is needed from you:
A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Chef
Experience managing 100200 covers per day across breakfast, lunch and dinner service
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques and stock control
Relevant catering qualifications would be advantageous
Up-to-date Food Hygiene and Food Safety knowledge
Willingness to support other sites when required
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
A driving licence would be beneficial
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Preparing and delivering high-quality traditional pub dishes using locally sourced ingredients
Supporting the Head Chef in the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen
Assisting with menu specials and seasonal changes
Maintaining high standards in line with food hygiene and safety regulations
Contributing to the maintenance of a 5-star food hygiene rating
Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and compliant at all times
Working closely with the wider team to deliver an excellent dining experience
Salary: £14 £17 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 40 50 hours per week, typically 10-hour shifts. xwzovoh Weekend and mid-week work required.
