Quest Employment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Chef to join their dedicated catering team within a high-quality residential care home.

The Role As Chef, you will support the delivery of an outstanding dining experience while helping to maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and kitchen operations.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.
Supporting the Chef Manager with the day-to-day running of the catering team.
Promoting and maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, safe and compliant.
Taking responsibility for the kitchen and catering team in the Chef Manager's absence.
Assisting with menu planning, ensuring meals are varied, nutritious and cater to residents' dietary requirements.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional service.
About You We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef who is passionate about great food and enjoys working in a caring environment.
The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Chef within a catering, hospitality or care setting.
A valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality (or equivalent).
Ideally, at least three years' experience in a similar role.
A passion for producing fresh, high-quality food.
A positive, proactive and flexible approach to work.
The ability to use initiative and work independently when required.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner when interacting with residents, visitors and colleagues.
