The job you’ll do:
* Management, reporting and continuous improvement of plant specific KPI’s
* Create and maintain all necessary documentation and procedures to define the desired safe operating envelope for the designated plant areas
* Champion Lean Manufacturing within designated plant area (e.g. 5S, TPM, Kaizen).
* Development and delivery of the plant improvement strategy and Asset Life Plan
* Support and provide technical coaching to the Shift Operations Leaders
* Work closely with the Shift Operations leaders daily to ensure that operators are competent, capable and confident to carry out the duties required to meet performance targets
* Appropriate delegation of work, ensuring everyone in the team works to their full potential.
* Assist with the coaching of operators and technicians within designated plant areas
* Provide feedback on asset performance to the Production Manager
* Utilise lean manufacturing principles to ensure that people working in the manufacturing area are using safe behaviours, housekeeping is in order and production targets are met
About you:
* Degree qualified in a science or engineering-related discipline
* Experience working within the chemical industry in a similar process/asset management focused role
* Able to communicate effectively with internal departments
* Willing to undergo drug & alcohol pre-employment screening
* Well organised, able to work both independently and within a team
* Available for urgent calls & emails outside of work hours (This is compensated with an additional disturbance allowance)
