NHS Fife is excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking Children and Young People’s Development Officer to join Community Children’s Services.

This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of service improvement, redesign and transformation programmes across Children’s Services. Working within a complex multi-agency environment, the post holder will contribute to the implementation of national and local strategies, ensuring services are responsive, evidence-informed and aligned to the needs of children, young people and families.

The successful candidate will lead and support a range of project workstreams, including planning, coordination, data analysis, audit, evaluation and report writing. You will work collaboratively with health, social care and partner agencies to promote effective joint working and support the delivery of Fife’s Children’s Services Plan.

A strong focus of the role will be on participation and engagement, ensuring that the voices of children, young people and families, including those from seldom-heard groups, inform service development and improvement.

Applicants should have significant experience working with children, young people and families and demonstrate expertise in project management, service improvement, data analysis and multi-agency working.

Excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timescales.

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant health or social care discipline (or equivalent), with a sound understanding of key policies and frameworks such as GIRFEC, Children’s Rights (UNCRC), and quality improvement methodologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to improving outcomes for children and young people across Fife through innovation, collaboration and service development.

We are looking forward hearing from you.
