Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home Location: Romford Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (DOE) Full-time | Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead an established children’s residential homes based in Romford, providing high-quality care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and/or complex needs. You will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and performance of both homes, ensuring they operate in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, delivering consistently high outcomes for children and young people. This is a senior leadership role requiring a confident, resilient manager who can balance strong regulatory oversight with a genuinely therapeutic, child-centred approach. Key Responsibilities * Full Ofsted Registered Manager responsibility across both homes * Lead, develop, and inspire staff teams to deliver outstanding care * Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks * Maintain and improve Ofsted ratings, working towards Good/Outstanding outcomes * Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans * Manage rota systems, staffing levels, and workforce development * Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals * Ensure budgets, occupancy, and operational performance targets are met * Take part in an on-call rota for senior management support * Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young people About You * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager in children’s residential care * Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it) * Proven track record of improving outcomes and managing inspections * Experience supporting children with EBD, trauma, or complex needs * Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills * Full UK driving licence (preferred) What We Offer * Competitive salary up to £65,000 * Performance-related bonus scheme * Career progression opportunities within a growing provider * Comprehensive training and leadership development support * Supportive senior management structure * Opportunity to lead and shape two developing homes
