Hockley House is a pioneering new children's home in Romsey for young people aged 12-18 with complex emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. As Hampshire's first residential home to bring together social care, healthcare and education in one setting, we're helping children build stability, resilience and brighter futures through intensive, trauma-informed support.
Joining Hockley House as a Support Worker is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new service. Working alongside residential, health and education professionals, you'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
Main duties of the job
What you'll do
Build positive, trauma-informed relationships with children, young people, families and professionals.
Provide high-quality physical, emotional and practical support in a safe and nurturing environment.
Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, life skills and personal development.
Contribute to care plans, maintain accurate records and prepare reports for families and professional agencies.
Promote safeguarding and wellbeing through effective risk assessment and safe working practices.
Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care and support plans.

Our service which operates all year round 24/7 and your shift pattern will include some bank holidays, weekends and sleep in duties. Enhancements are paid in line with the HCC salary policy.
