Experienced Children’s Social Worker – Enfield Location: Enfield, London Job Type: Temporary Service: Family Help & Family Safeguarding Experience Required: Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE) in permanent Local Authority Children’s Social Care roles About the Role We are seeking dynamic, committed and experienced Children’s Social Workers to join Enfield’s newly launched Family Help Service and Family Safeguarding practice model. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative, strengths-based approach that focuses on early intervention, effective multi-agency working and supporting children to remain safely within their families wherever possible. You will work with children, young people and families, including cases involving domestic abuse, parental mental health, substance misuse, trauma and exploitation, while keeping children’s lived experiences at the centre of your practice. Key Responsibilities Manage complex caseloads independently and effectively. Undertake high-quality assessments and risk assessments. Develop and implement effective risk management plans. Lead Child in Need (CIN) planning and long-term child protection work. Build strong, purposeful relationships with children and families. Deliver effective interventions that improve outcomes and promote lasting safety and wellbeing. Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date case recordings. Work collaboratively with Family Help, Children’s Social Care and specialist adult services. Meet relevant performance indicators, deadlines and service expectations. Follow management direction and respond quickly to changing priorities. About You The successful candidate will have: At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in permanent Local Authority Children’s Social Care roles. Strong knowledge of the legal framework, procedures and statutory requirements relevant to Children’s Services. Proven experience in assessment, CIN planning and child protection. Excellent risk assessment and risk management skills. Experience managing complex caseloads independently. Strong organisational and time-management skills. The ability to adapt quickly and deliver high-quality work within short timeframes. Excellent recording, communication and relationship-building skills. A commitment to strengths-based, child-centred practice. The ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment and follow management instructions. Why Apply?
