Children’s Support Worker – Waking Nights – ClevedonPositions: Full TimePay: £13.20 – £13.47 per hourContract: Permanent, Waking NightsBase Location: ClevedonDrivers are essential due to the travel required.About the RoleWe're looking for caring and committed Children's Support Workers to join our Clevedon team, supporting children and young people aged 5–18 during waking night shifts.The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality, person-centred overnight support that respects each child's views, wishes and individuality. You'll help create a safe, calm and reassuring environment throughout the night, ensuring children and young people feel secure, listened to and supported.Working alongside children and young people, you'll support their wellbeing and independence by following personalised support plans and responding to individual needs overnight. This may include supporting evening and morning routines, administering medication where required, and providing personal care in a respectful and dignified way. Full training will be provided.What You'll Be DoingProviding personalised overnight support tailored to each child's individual needs, preferences and goalsSupporting children and young people with evening routines, settling for the night and morning routines where requiredPromoting wellbeing, comfort and safety throughout the nightSupporting with personal care, medication and health-related needs where requiredMaintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentationResponding positively and confidently to changing support needs overnightBuilding positive relationships with children, families and professionalsFollowing safeguarding, health and safety, and care procedures at all timesWorking as part of a supportive team and contributing to effective communication between shiftsSupport is provided across a 7-day rota, including weekends.What We're Looking ForA caring, patient and child-focused approachA genuine commitment to supporting children and young people to thriveGood communication and teamwork skillsReliability, resilience and the ability to work confidently during waking night shiftsWillingness to learn and develop professionallyA full UK driving licence and access to a vehiclePlease note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role; applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK.A Level 3 Childcare qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one.Why Join Brandon Trust?Brandon Trust is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full.
