Civil Engineer - all levels considered Remote working 1-2 days per month on site in Scotland Overview We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the assessment, maintenance, and ongoing operation of critical infrastructure assets within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. This role is ideally suited to engineers with a strong background in civil and structural engineering design, particularly those with experience working on complex infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring infrastructure remains safe, compliant, and fit for purpose throughout its lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise in the specification, production, and assessment of infrastructure design packages. Conduct site inspections and asset walkdowns, producing associated technical and safety documentation. Define reliability requirements and operational constraints for infrastructure assets. Review and assess maintenance procedures and work control processes. Evaluate infrastructure design, material condition, ageing mechanisms, and asset qualification to support continued safe operation. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture. Ensure contractor outputs meet technical, contractual, and safety requirements.
