A well known client in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑driven Civil Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of high‑quality civil engineering projects across a diverse portfolio, working within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary practice. The role As a Civil Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing technical drawings, models, and documentation for a range of civil and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to deliver coordinated, accurate, and efficient design outputs. Responsibilities Produce high‑quality civil engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civils 3D Support the design of highways, drainage, earthworks, and external works Prepare technical details, setting‑out information, and design layouts Assist with preparing calculations, reports, and schedules Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and QA processes Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD/BIM workflows within the team About  We’re looking for someone with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to grow within a supportive engineering environment. Essential: Experience as a Civil/Infrastructure Technician in consultancy or similar environment Proficient in AutoCAD Familiarity with Civils 3D or a willingness to develop skills in it Good understanding of drainage, levels, and highways design principles Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines Desirable: Experience with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage Knowledge of S104, S38, S278 processes Revit or BIM experience ONC/HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline Why join?
