Job description: Here at GXO Dagenham, we are currently recruiting for HGV Category CE (Class 1) powder tanker drivers to join our transport team supporting our customer, Breedon Cement.
If you are looking for a new challenge and the chance to develop your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Dont worry if you havent operated a powder tanker before, we will provide all the training and support youll need to get out on the road and making deliveries.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday , minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay , with start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00 with paid breaks! £49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week) £18.92 per hour Paid every four weeks lunar pay Paidholidayentitlement 25days plus 8 bank holidays A Week off at Christmas (3 days from your holiday allocation) Full uniform provided, ongoing annual CPC training provided, Workplace pensionscheme.
Access to our Hapi App platform, offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more! xwzovoh What youll do on a typical day: Single drop deliveries (typically between 2 and 3 per shift) from our Dagenham depot to manufacturing and construction industry customers Load and discharge powder products (predominantly cement) under pressure from tanker to silo Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to our customers Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner??????? while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time What you need to succeed at GXO: Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential Full UK driving licence with category CE entitlement Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards No more than 6 current penalty points We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
