Class 2 Day Driver Pallet Network Location: Wakefield Pay Rate: Competitive (DOE) Job Type: Ongoing Holiday & Sickness Cover Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days About the Role Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Day Drivers for a well-established transport and logistics company based in Wakefield. The role involves completing pallet network multi-drop deliveries, typically 10 or more drops per day, before collecting pallets for return to the depot. You'll be driving modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles fitted with tail lifts and curtain-side bodies. This client values drivers who know their operation and regularly re-books reliable, site-experienced drivers for holiday and sickness cover. Key Responsibilities Complete pallet network multi-drop deliveries Carry out customer collections throughout the day Operate curtain-side and tail-lift vehicles safely Complete daily vehicle safety checks Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately Deliver excellent customer service Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations Requirements Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence Driver CPC Qualification Card Digital Tachograph Card Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience preferred Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only) Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach Why Work With Recruit A Driver?
