Immediate start available Class 2 HIAB Driver Required - Northampton Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a well-established business based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled driver with experience operating HIAB equipment and delivering materials safely and professionally. The role will involve driving an 18-tonne HIAB vehicle, completing customer deliveries and supporting the wider team when required. The successful candidate must be flexible, reliable and willing to work as part of a team. The Role As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties may include: Driving an 18-tonne HIAB vehicle to complete customer deliveries
Delivering materials to building sites, private addresses and new developments
Covering deliveries across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties when required
Loading and unloading goods safely using HIAB equipment
Securing loads correctly before transport
Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
Following all road safety regulations and company procedures
Communicating with the team regarding delivery schedules and any issues
Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
Supporting counter staff and the wider branch team when required
Learning product knowledge and the customer base over time
Key Skills and Experience We are looking for candidates who: Hold a valid Class 2 licence
Hold a valid Driver CPC
Hold a valid HIAB licence, ideally with at least 6 months remaining
Have good knowledge or previous experience operating HIAB equipment correctly
Have previous HGV delivery experience
Have experience with flatbed vehicles, desirable
Have a clean driving licence
Are over the age of 21 due to insurance requirements
Are reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
Can work independently and manage time effectively
Have strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Are flexible and willing to support the wider team when required
Are a team player with a positive attitude towards work
Additional Information Monday to Friday working pattern
Start time may be 7:00am or 7:30am
Finish time may be 4:00pm or 4:30pm
Breaks are provided in line with legal requirements
Occasional Saturday work may be required, approximately 1 in every 5 weeks for around 2 hours, to be confirmed
Uniform will be provided
Immediate start available for the right candidate
