- £190.00 Clearance : SC Eligable About the Role We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Higher Clearance Administrator to join a busy Security team supporting the management of security clearance activities across a large and complex organisation.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring Higher Clearance applications, renewals, transfers, and sharing arrangements are processed accurately and efficiently, helping to provide suitably cleared resources for key business programmes and customer engagements.
Working closely with applicants, line managers, internal stakeholders, and external vetting teams, you'll be responsible for coordinating clearance activities, maintaining accurate records, and providing outstanding administrative support throughout the clearance lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Manage the administration of Higher Clearance applications, renewals, transfers, and sharing requests.
Support applicants and line managers with the completion of clearance applications.
Respond to clearance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and data within internal systems and tooling.
Monitor and report on clearance approval timescales and performance statistics.
Liaise with applicants, stakeholders, and external vetting teams throughout the clearance process.
Attend regular progress meetings and provide updates on clearance activities.
Support internal and external audits relating to personnel security clearance status.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience Essential Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Experience maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience working within security, vetting, compliance, or governance environments.
Knowledge of Higher Clearance or government vetting processes.
