An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Educator in the Acute Medicine Unit, the Unit covers an Acute Assessment Unit, Ambulatory Emergency Care and Medical High Dependency Unit.

You should be motivated and committed to staff development and training and have a keen interest in Acute Care. You should be able to work well as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team. A proven interest in Acute Care, training, education and the professional development of staff will be essential.

The successful post holder will work closely with the AMU team and be responsible for implementing and supporting mandatory and essential training for approximately 110 staff from Band 2 to 8a. Successful candidate would also have a role in supporting staff with the SVQ programme. (Training would be given).

Also arranging staff Induction to the unit and organising regular and ad hoc training session to meet the needs of the team.

Candidates should have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit coupled with a sense of humour. Candidates should have enthusiasm to work, learn and develop yourself and colleagues within the exciting and challenging high pressure environment. You will be dynamic and forward thinking in your approach. In addition you will be expected to function as a role model showing a depth of knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience.

This post would ideally suit a RGN with experience in acute adult nursing and critical care experience is preferred.

Hours of work are to meet the needs of the service, currently 0800-1600 Monday to Friday.
