Job responsibilities

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychological expertise within a high-quality, evidence-based ADHD diagnostic pathway for children and young people. Your contribution will play a vital role in supporting accurate diagnostic decision-making, delivering meaningful outcomes, and ensuring a positive experience for families accessing the service.

You will contribute specialist psychological knowledge and diagnostic reasoning to multidisciplinary team discussions, helping to evaluate attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity presentations, functional impact, differential diagnoses, co-occurring neurodevelopmental or mental health needs, and factors relevant to diagnostic formulation. You will also produce clear, high-quality diagnostic reports and practical recommendations that support children, young people, families and professionals.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience working with children and young people within neurodevelopmental, CAMHS or related services, alongside excellent clinical assessment, formulation, communication and report-writing skills.
