CMM Programmer Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Salary: Up to £40,000 p/a Hours: 9:00am 5:30pm Job Type: Permanent Are you an experienced CMM Programmer with a passion for precision engineering and quality assurance? As a CMM Programmer, youll be responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining CMM programs, ensuring accurate inspection of manufactured parts while supporting production and engineering teams to achieve the highest quality standards.
What Youll Be Doing Creating and optimising CMM inspection programs using industry-standard software Developing programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality requirements Analysing measurement data and generating detailed inspection reports Supporting root cause investigations and reporting non-conformances Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve quality and inspection processes What Youll Bring Proven experience as a CMM Programmer within a manufacturing or engineering environment Experience programming CMMs using software such as PC-DMIS, MODUS, Calypso, or similar Strong understanding of metrology principles and inspection techniques Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges Knowledge of CAD models and inspection planning would be advantageous Benefits 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Enhanced pension Private healthcare If youre ready to bring your CMM programming expertise into a role where quality and precision are critical, get in touch with Charlie at Orion to discuss your next career move.
