Toolmaker, Precision Grinder or Toolroom Engineer, or someone who has gained equivalent experience within a precision engineering environment. The Role

Working within a well-equipped toolroom, you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance and refurbishment of precision tooling and components. You will be expected to work from detailed engineering drawings, achieving fine tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities

Carry out precision grinding operations using manual and/or CNC equipment. Perform: Surface Grinding Cylindrical Grinding Internal (Bore) Grinding Ring Grinding Honing Manufacture and refurbish tooling and precision-engineered components. Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances. Inspect finished components using a range of precision measuring equipment. Ensure work is completed to customer specifications and production deadlines. Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and safety. Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of the wider engineering team. Qualifications Experience as a Toolmaker, Toolroom Engineer, Precision Grinder or Manual/CNC Machinist. Strong practical experience in multiple grinding disciplines, including surface, cylindrical and internal grinding. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience working to fine tolerances within a precision manufacturing environment. Competence using inspection and measuring equipment. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail. Apprentice training or equivalent hands-on engineering experience. Package up to
