CNC Maintenance Engineer

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting our client with the appointment of a newly created role, CNC Maintenance Engineer, to join them on a permanent basis. This position is site-based in Newcastle on a day shift. We're looking for an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer who to join a supportive team supporting on a diverse range of CNC machines and manufacturing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maximising machine availability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment. Job Description * Diagnosing and repairing CNC machine breakdowns quickly and effectively * Carrying out preventative maintenance activities to maximise machine performance and reliability * Maintaining and servicing CNC machining centres including Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Asquith Butler and horizontal borers * Dismantling equipment, replacing defective components and reassembling machinery to operational standards * Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspections and repair documentation * Working safely and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and LOTO procedures * Collaborating with suppliers, contractors and external service providers * Conducting machinery condition assessments and equipment health checks * Supporting machine operators with basic maintenance guidance and safe operating practices Skills Required * Time served Engineer * Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning machinery * Mazak knowledge and previous experience * Proven experience delivering both reactive and planned maintenance If you're ready to take ownership of machine reliability and make a genuine impact on production performance, we'd love to hear from you.
