CNC Miller Setter / Operator Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Pay: £16.00 £19.00 per hour, depending on experience Shift: Continental Shift Pattern Role: CNC Milling / Setting / Operating Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Miller / CNC Setter Operator to join their established manufacturing team in Mansfield.

This is a hands-on machining role suited to someone who is confident setting and operating CNC milling machines , working accurately from engineering drawings and producing high-quality components to specification.
The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £16.00 £19.00 per hour , depending on experience, alongside a continental shift pattern which includes a regular block of 8 days off at the end of each cycle.
The Role As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machinery to manufacture precision-engineered components.
Key responsibilities will include: Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Producing components accurately to engineering drawings and specifications.
Selecting and setting appropriate tooling and workholding.
Carrying out tool changes and machine adjustments where required.
Checking finished components using appropriate measuring equipment.
Working to tight tolerances and maintaining consistently high quality standards.
Monitoring machining processes and making adjustments where necessary.
Identifying and reporting tooling, quality or machining issues.
Completing relevant production and inspection documentation.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Working closely with colleagues to achieve production and delivery targets.
Following company health, safety and quality procedures at all times.
About You Our client is looking for an experienced CNC machinist who is comfortable working independently and producing precision components within a busy manufacturing environment.
You should have: Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Setter Operator or CNC Machinist .
Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working to close tolerances.
Good knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining processes.
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
A strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make machining adjustments when required.
The flexibility to work the full continental shift pattern.
Previous experience within precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, motorsport or another high-quality manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
Continental Shift Pattern The role operates across a rotating four-week shift cycle: Week 1: Thursday Sunday, 7:00pm 7:00am Week 2: Wednesday Friday, 7:00am 7:00pm Week 3: Monday Thursday, 7:00pm 7:00am Week 4: Saturday Tuesday, 7:00am 7:00pm Following Week 4, you will receive 8 consecutive days off before returning to Week 1.
