CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator Soham, Cambridgeshire up to £48,000 + Pension + Holiday Bonus I'm working with a well-established precision engineering company that's continuing to invest in both machinery and people following recent expansion into larger premises. They're looking for an experienced CNC Miller who can confidently programme, set and machine components from engineering drawings with minimal supervision. This is a genuine opportunity to join a growing business where you'll have the freedom to improve machining processes rather than simply running production. The Role You'll be responsible for producing high-precision components from low to medium batch work, taking jobs from programming through to finished inspection. Your responsibilities will include: * Programming, setting and operating Multi-axis CNC milling machines * Producing precision components to tight tolerances * Creating and editing CAM programs (Fusion 360 experience beneficial) * Selecting tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds * First-off inspection and in-process quality checks * Reading engineering drawings and 3D models * Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods and cycle times We're interested in speaking to CNC Millers with experience in: * Offline or Online programming, setting and operating CNC mills * HAAS controls (preferred) * 3-axis or 4-axis machining * Precision engineering environments * Stainless steel, aluminium, engineering plastics and exotic alloys * Inspection using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment Experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 would be advantageous but isn't essential. Why consider this opportunity? * Highly competitive, based on experience * Day shift from Monday-Friday * Modern, clean machining facility * Intersting low batch precision work * Stable business investing in new equipment * Opportunity to influence machining methods rather than simply operate machines * Friendly engineering team with long-term career prospects * Pension & Holiday bonus * Free parking If you're an experienced CNC Miller looking for a role where your programming knowledge and machining experience will genuinely be valued, I'd be interested in having a confidential conversation
