CNC VMC Setter Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £14.50 - £19.00 per hour (DOE) Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm Contract: Permanent | Full-Time Ready for Your Next Engineering Opportunity? We're currently recruiting on behalf of a respected precision engineering company in Wolverhampton that is looking to expand its machining team with an experienced VMC Setter. The Role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for preparing and setting Vertical Machining Centres to ensure production runs efficiently and components are manufactured to exact customer specifications. Your day-to-day duties will include: * Setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs). * Installing tooling and setting machine offsets. * Interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation. * Producing precision-machined components to required tolerances. * Inspecting finished parts using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges. * Identifying machining issues and making adjustments where necessary. * Maintaining excellent quality standards while following all health and safety procedures. * Keeping your work area clean, organised and operating efficiently. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have: * Previous experience setting VMC/CNC machining centres. * A background within precision engineering or manufacturing. * The ability to confidently read engineering drawings. * Experience carrying out machine set-ups, tooling changes and offset adjustments. * Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measuring equipment. * A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. * A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
