Job Description CNC Milling Machine Operator / SetterXYZ SMX 4000 Milling Machine – ProtoTRAK / ProTRAK ControllerMonday-Friday 8am-4pm (37.5 weekly hours)Pay Rate £16.50-£18.50 DOE per hourCNC Milling Machine Operator / SetterThe Role Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturer looking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Machine Operator / Setter to join their production team.The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating the machine, loading materials and tooling, adjusting offsets and producing high-quality components to engineering specifications.Please note: this is not a programming role. The role is focused on machine setting, operating, and machining components accurately.CNC Milling Machine Operator / SetterKey Responsibilities Set and operate an XYZ SMX 4000 milling machine.Use a ProtoTRAK / ProTRAK controller as part of day-to-day machine operation.Adjust tooling, machine settings and fixture offsets as required.Carry out machining of components to engineering drawings and specifications.Use measuring and inspection equipment to check components against required tolerances.Complete production and quality documentation accurately.Support team working and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.Previous machining experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.Good understanding of health and safety within a machine shop environment.Reliable, practical, and quality-focused approach to work.Experience operating an XYZ SMX 4000 milling machine.Experience machining of stainless steel or similar engineering materials.Candidate Requirements CNC Milling Machine Operator / Setter Essential Previous machining experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.Good understanding of health and safety within a machine shop environment.Reliable, practical, and quality-focused approach to work.CNC Milling Machine Operator / Setter Desirable Experience operating an XYZ SMX 4000 milling machine.Experience machining of stainless steel or similar engineering materials.Keywords: CNC Milling | XYZ SMX 4000 | ProtoTRAK | Setter/Operator | Engineering Drawings | Precision Engineering | Micrometers & Verniers | Tight Tolerances | Machining Experience | ManufacturingWinsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
