CNC Programmer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Horizontal Borer Setter / Operator / Programmer to join a well-established engineering company based in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience working on CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC horizontal borers using Heidenhain control systems, producing high-quality medium to heavy-sized components from customer drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Setting, operating and programming CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines * Working from detailed engineering drawings and customer specifications * Producing medium to heavy workpieces to a high standard * Carrying out self-inspection and ensuring components meet quality requirements * Working safely and efficiently within a busy engineering environment * Supporting overtime requirements when required Candidate Requirements: * Previous experience operating CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines * Strong experience with Heidenhain controls * Ability to set and programme machines independently * Confident reading and working from engineering drawings * Experience machining medium to heavy components * Ability to inspect own work using measuring equipment * Willingness to work overtime when required Shift Options Available: Day Shift * Monday – Thurs...
