Pay: £16.50-£18.00 per hour Job Description: CNC TSetter / Operator Location: Walsall Job Type: Permanent Hours: 40 Hours per Week Salary: £16.50 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience) Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established and quality-driven engineering company based in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional to join a busy manufacturing environment producing precision-engineered components to exceptionally high standards. Working Hours * Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm * Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm The Role As a CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will work closely with the CNC Section Supervisor to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved. Key Responsibilities * Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines * Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently * Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks * Supporting quick turnaround jobs with short lead times * Maintaining a safe and organised working environment Machines & Controls The successful candidate will primarily be working with: * Doosan CNC Turning Machines * Fanuc Controls * Some Citizen Machines Candidate Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: * A minimum of 2 years' experience in a CNC Turning role * Strong CNC programming and setting experience * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Excellent attention to detail * A commitment to producing high-quality work * The ability to work independently and as part of a team What's On Offer * Permanent position * Competitive hourly rate of £16.50 - £18.00 per hour * Early finish every Friday * Stable, long-term employment * Opportunity to join a respected and growing engineering business * Supportive and professional working environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company producing relatively simple components but with exceptionally high standards and fast-paced production demands.
