CNC Turner – High Precision Heavy Engineering Location: Dudley Hours: 8am–4.30pm, with overtime available Salary: £15.50–£20 per hour We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy precision engineering operation. The Role This is a hands-on, high-precision machining position. The successful candidate will be expected to work confidently and independently, taking full ownership of their components from initial set-up through to final inspection. You will be responsible for: Setting and programming your own CNC turning machines and components. Producing large, complex components to demanding tolerances. Carrying out your own pre-inspection and in-process checks. Working from engineering drawings and specifications. Selecting appropriate tooling, work-holding and machining strategies. Ensuring components meet the required dimensional and quality standards. Working safely and confidently with large and heavy components. Working unsupervised and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. Candidate Requirements Proven CNC Turning experience. Experience working within a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment. Experience setting and programming your own work. Experience with Fanuc controls. Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills. Experience working to high-precision tolerances. Experience carrying out your own inspection and quality checks. A high level of attention to detail. The ability to work independently and unsupervised. Experience with heavy slinging, lifting and crane handling. A strong understanding of workshop safety and the safe handling of large components.
