Opportunity Our client, a well established precision engineering company, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing manufacturing team on a permanent day shift. CNC Turner Role
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications. Working from engineering drawings, you will produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and efficiency. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with precision components in a modern machining environment. CNC Turner
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Manufacturing precision components using a brand-new CMZ CNC Lathe. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards. Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods. Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure components meet specification. Machining a variety of engineering materials. Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area. Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a CNC Turner. Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes. Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls. The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience machining precision components to demanding tolerances. Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Desirable Skills
The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
Manufacturing components for the Oil & Gas industry. Offline programming. Experience with live tooling. Machining a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloys and other specialist materials. Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am
4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am
1:00pm Enjoy an early finish every Friday, supporting a healthy work life balance. Salary
