CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator Location: Witham, Essex Salary: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience + Overtime + Bonus Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm A successful subcontract precision engineering company is looking for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join their modern machine shop on a permanent basis. The company supplies high-quality precision-machined components to the Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical, Oil & Gas and Commercial Engineering sectors. This role would suit an experienced CNC Turner, CNC Lathe Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or CNC Machinist who can programme, set and operate CNC lathes and manufacture components to tight tolerances. The Role As a CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you will programme, set and operate CNC lathes, prove out new programmes and optimise machining cycles while producing precision components to customer specifications. Key responsibilities include: Programme, set and operate CNC lathes and Doosan CNC Turning Centres Prove out new CNC programmes and optimise machining cycle times Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings Produce components to tight tolerances, including 20 microns Carry out first-off and in-process inspection Ensure components meet customer quality standards and specifications Maintain a safe, organised and efficient machine shop Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or CNC Machinist Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment Knowledge of Doosan, Puma, Haas or similar CNC turning centres Online CNC programming experience preferred; training is available Apprentice-trained or time-served engineers are welcome Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Benefits £17.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm Regular overtime available Performance-related bonus Free on-site parking 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service Permanent, stable position with a growing engineering company Modern CNC machine shop with varied precision engineering work Apply Today If you're an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator looking for a permanent role with a growing precision engineering business, this is an excellent opportunity to work across varied, high-quality CNC turning projects.
