What you’ll do

When you join the team with Davisons Law as an experienced Commercial and Residential Property Legal Assistant, you will support the Commercial Property team with administrative, legal, and clerical tasks to ensure cases proceed efficiently and accurately.

You will have experience as either a Commercial Property Legal Assistant or Residential Property Legal Assistant but ideally both.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support on a diverse caseload of commercial and residential property transactions.
  • Administrating filing systems which will include opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files and issuing client care letters.
  • Be able to prioritise work and keep clam under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Carrying out pre-exchange searches, obtain legal indemnity policies, completing SDLT returns and land registry applications.
  • Drafting and amending legal documents such as transfer deeds.
  • Assisting with the preparation of contract packs, reports on title, completion statements, bills.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors and third parties
  • Replies to enquires of buyer’s solicitors on residential property transactions.
  • Exchange contracts.
  • General administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and supporting the team to meet key deadlines.
  • Be passionate about engaging in, developing, and maintaining strong professional working relationships with clients, and other professionals.
  • Process matters in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong organisation skillset, IT literate and experience of using case management systems.
  • To have excellent administrative, planning, organisation, and time management skills.



Skills that we would like you to have.

  • Have previous experience in a legal support role (commercial or residential but preferably both)
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Be well organised and attention to detail.
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise accordingly to deliver against key deadlines.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude.
