Permanent We're currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing and well-established mechanical services contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role within a pre-construction team, supporting the delivery of high-quality mechanical projects across a varied portfolio. Reporting into the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical installations, maintenance, and repair works. You'll work closely with internal teams as well as external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure commercially viable and technically sound submissions. Produce detailed and accurate estimates based on tender documentation and project specifications Identify and incorporate project risks, ensuring appropriate allowances are included Source and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather technical and commercial information Proven experience in a Mechanical Estimator role (or similar) within construction or building services Strong understanding of mechanical installations and industry standards Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Performance Expectations High accuracy of estimates (target within 5% of final project cost) Thorough risk identification and cost planning Join a reputable and growing contractor with a strong pipeline of work Opportunity to play a key role in project success from the outset Long-term career development potential
