Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Harlow Salary: Up to £60,000 Basic + Overtime + Call-Out Earnings Job Type: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Commercial Gas Engineer – Plant Rooms Only – Social Housing Contract We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining approximately 40 plant rooms across the Harlow area. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to work on a localised patch with a varied mixture of servicing, repairs, planned maintenance and breakdowns, without any domestic work inside occupied flats. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) * Service and repair commercial gas plant * Attend breakdowns and reactive maintenance calls * Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations * Maintain accurate service records and documentation What's on Offer? * Basic salary up to £60,000 * Company van and fuel card * 23 days holiday plus bank holidays * Local Harlow-based patch * Overtime paid at time and a half after 5pm * Call-out rota of 1 week in 2 * £50 payment per call-out attended * Any call-out exceeding one hour paid at 1.5x hourly rate * Long-term social housing contract * Plant room work only – no domestic work within flats Requirements * Valid Commercial Gas qualifications * Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial heating systems * Experience working within plant rooms * Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills * Full UK driving licence If you're a Commercial Gas Engineer seeking a well-paid role with a structured local patch and excellent overtime potential, we'd like to hear from you.
