An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Commercial Management Accountant to join a growing and commercially focused business.

This is an excellent role for an ambitious ACCA / CIMA / ACA studier looking to develop their commercial finance experience, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in providing meaningful financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

 

 

The role

Reporting into the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a broad range of management accounting and commercial finance responsibilities, including:

 

 

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals

Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

Producing regular management reporting and providing commentary on performance

Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business

Analysing revenue, costs, margins and key business drivers

Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating these into actionable insight

Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting

Supporting the continued development of reporting, processes and controls

Involvement in ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects  

The ideal candidate
You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience and a genuine interest in developing within commercial finance.
You will ideally have:

Experience producing or assisting with management accounts

Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness

Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data

Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders

A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence

A desire to progress your accounting qualification and develop your career
