Are you a commercially minded Paralegal looking for an opportunity beyond traditional legal support? Do you want exposure to complex international contracts, strategic business initiatives and senior leadership decision-making within a growing global organisation?
Jackson Hogg are working on behalf of a growing Logistics business to recruit an ambitious Commercial Paralegal to join the Commercial team. Working directly with the Head of Commercial, you'll play a key role in supporting contract management, governance, compliance and commercial risk across a diverse portfolio of international projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their commercial legal expertise while making a real impact in a fast-paced logistics business operating around the world.
What You'll Be Doing:
* You'll be involved in every stage of the contract lifecycle, providing practical legal and commercial support across the business, including:
* Reviewing, drafting and negotiating client, supplier, subcontractor and confidentiality agreements
* Supporting tender and bid activities by identifying contractual risks and compliance requirements
* Preparing contract summaries, risk assessments and commercial briefing papers
* Managing contract registers, renewals, amendments and key contractual milestones
* Supporting governance, compliance, due diligence and Know Your Customer activities
* Assisting with insurance administration, claims management and contractual insurance reviews
* Helping identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
* Producing reports and management information for senior leadership teams
* Supporting strategic projects and international growth initiatives
What We're Looking For...
Essential:
* Paralegal qualification, CILEX qualification, Law Degree or equivalent legal qualification
* Experience reviewing, drafting and analysing commercial contracts
* Experience working within a legal, commercial, contracts or governance environment
* Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management
* Excellent attention to detail and document management skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving
Desirable:
* Contract Management certification (WorldCC/IACCM or equivalent)
* Experience within logistics, maritime, offshore, energy, logistics, ports or infrastructure sectors
* Experience within an in-house legal or commercial team
* Exposure to international commercial agreements
* Experience supporting insurance, claims, risk management or procurement activities
