Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Property Solicitor - 5 year + pqe role based in Sutton.

The role involves managing a caseload of commercial property matters, including sales and purchases, leases, landlord and tenant issues, and property finance transactions. The solicitor will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and lease documents, carry out due diligence, and handle title investigations and searches. Daily responsibilities include advising clients on legal risks, compliance, and transaction structures, liaising with agents, lenders, and other solicitors, and ensuring matters progress efficiently to completion. The role also includes maintaining accurate file records, meeting billing and time recording requirements on the LEAP system or equivalent , and contributing to business development and firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong commercial property law knowledge, including experience with leases, acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant matters.
• Candidates should possess excellent drafting and negotiation skills for contracts, leases, and ancillary documentation.
• Candidates should possess effective client care and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and build long-term professional relationships.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines.
• Candidates should possess attention to detail and sound analytical skills to conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessment.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with standard legal and office software, as well as comfort working with digital case management systems.
