Commercial Underwriter Casualty & Construction Location - Circa £85,000 (Depending on experience) IPS Group are working with a well-established and highly respected insurer that is looking to appoint a Commercial Underwriterto join its regional underwriting team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial lines underwriter to join a collaborative and supportive business where individuals are empowered to make decisions, contribute to profitable growth, and further develop their underwriting careers. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of a successful Contractors Combined portfolio, underwriting both delegated authority and open market business, while also supporting a broader Casualty and Property account across a diverse range of industries. Develop and grow Contractors Combined, Casualty, and Property portfolios profitably. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues across underwriting, claims, and wider business functions. About You: Experience underwriting commercial lines business, with a particular focus on Casualty and Contractors Combined risks. Excellent broker development, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. A commercial mindset with the ability to identify profitable business opportunities.
