You'll become part of a friendly, supportive team dedicated to making a positive impact, everyday offers an opportunity to help people learn, connect, and access the support they need.

What you'll be doing As a Community Library Assistant, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent services and experiences by: Providing excellent customer service to library users and visitors.

Issuing, returning and managing library materials while supporting stock maintenance.

Helping customers access books, resources, computers, and digital services.

Supporting and promoting library events, and community activities.

Signposting people to local services, support networks and opportunities available within the community hub.

Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for everyone.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, schools, community groups and partner organisations.

Following safeguarding, health and safety, security and data protection procedures.

About You We are looking for someone who: Has excellent communication and customer service skills.

Enjoys engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team.

(Essential) Feels confident supporting people to use computers and online services.

(Essential) Shares our commitment to inclusion, dignity, wellbeing and community engagement.

Willing to learn, develop and contribute to continuous improvement.

Working Pattern This role requires flexibility and may include mornings and afternoons shifts, depending on the service needs.
