Composite Technician - Secondary Bonding

Our client in South Oxfordshire is looking for a Composite Technician - secondary bonding / moulding laminator to help produce high-quality GRP moulded components for manufacturing construction. What you'll be doing: * Produce and assemble secondary bonding & moulding lamination components to meet production targets * Cut and prepare reinforcement and core materials for lay-up * Mix laminating polyester resins, carry out fibre layup and consolidation (wet lamination/open moulding) * Apply gelcoat using brush and spray methods, including repair and finishing of gelcoat surfaces * Work from laminate drawings to prepare components for finishing and production teams * Support trimming, grinding, finishing and quality inspection of finished mouldings * Complete component tracking information and documentation to support batch tracking and traceability * Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, usable state, and report breakages/deficiencies to the Team Leader * Keep the production area clean, tidy and compliant with Health & Safety expectations * Assist with training new staff when required What you'll bring: * Experience with wet lamination and open moulding techniques (GRP moulding production is specifically helpful) * A practical understanding of cutting, assembly and finishing processes for composite components * Strong attention to detail and a pride in producing work to a high standard * Clear communication skills-able to understand and pass on instructions effectively * The ability to work on your own initiative, stay organised, and prioritise to hit daily/weekly targets * A problem-solving mindset and a positive attitude that helps build an effective team culture Additional information: If you're ready to join a team where workmanship, safety and teamwork come first, apply today and let's discuss your experience.
