A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked national law firm is seeking a Construction Partner to join its established team in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step into partnership. The role focuses exclusively on non-contentious construction work, with all contentious matters handled by a specialist Disputes team.

The role will include:


  • Advising on non-contentious construction matters, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts.


Drafting and negotiating construction documentation, professional appointments and collateral warranties.


Supporting Real Estate and Corporate teams on complex transactions.


Building and maintaining strong client relationships.


Playing an active role in business development and the continued growth of the team.


Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.

The ideal candidate will:


Be an experienced Construction Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready for the next step.


Have strong experience in non-contentious construction law.


Be commercially minded with excellent relationship-building skills.


Enjoy business development and mentoring junior colleagues.

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of £95,000 - £125,000, 30 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, an excellent benefits package, hybrid working and a genuine opportunity to progress to equity.
