Our client is seeking an ambitiousContentious Probate Solicitorto join its highly regardedPrivate Wealth Disputesteam in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with4+ years' PQEto handle a high-quality caseload of complex inheritance and trust disputes while benefiting from genuine career progression, hybrid working and a supportive team environment.
This role is ideal for a solicitor looking to specialise further incontentious probate, inheritance disputes, trust litigation and will disputes, working alongside recognised experts on behalf of high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, charities and trustees.
The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload while supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-value matters including:
- Inheritance Act 1975 claims
- Will validity disputes
- Proprietary estoppel claims
- Executor and trustee disputes
- Beneficiary disputes
- Trust litigation
- Estate administration disputes
- Court of Protection-related disputes where appropriate
- Mediation, ADR and High Court litigation
You will have regular client contact, represent clients throughout the litigation process and play an active role in developing long-term client relationships.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor with4+ years' PQE
- Strong experience inContentious Probate,Trusts LitigationorCommercial Litigationwith significant probate work
- Experience advising on claims under theInheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Private Wealth Disputes
