Cambridge (On-site) Contract Length: Initial 6 months Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join an innovative engineering team working on cutting-edge technology projects within the defence and secure communications sector. This contract role will see you contributing to the design, development and verification of FPGA-based solutions for advanced electronic systems. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop high-performance hardware solutions from initial concept through to prototype and testing. Support the full FPGA development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, simulation and verification. Collaborate with hardware, software and systems engineers to integrate FPGA solutions into complex products. Assist with testing, debugging and optimisation of FPGA designs. Essential Skills & Experience: Strong commercial experience developing FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog. Demonstrable experience delivering FPGA designs from specification through to implementation Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. Desirable Experience Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and system modelling using MATLAB or Simulink. Embedded software development in C/C++ within Linux environments. Experience of communications systems, software-defined radio (SDR), radar or other RF technologies. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
