Contract Manager - Fit Out & Refurbishment Location: Central Belt, Scotland Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Employment: Permanent, Full-time The Opportunity: We are working with an established and growing fit out and refurbishment contractor operating across the Central Belt of Scotland, who are looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through to successful completion. The company delivers a varied portfolio of commercial fit outs, refurbishment and interior projects, working with a strong client base and a reputation for quality, professionalism and reliable project delivery. The Role: As Contract Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, to a high standard and within budget. Key responsibilities will include: Managing projects from pre-start through to practical completion and handover Taking responsibility for programme, commercial performance and project delivery Managing and supporting Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors Coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams Monitoring project costs, variations, valuations and final accounts Reviewing and managing subcontractor performance and contractual obligations Identifying and managing commercial and programme risks Ensuring projects comply with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements Attending site meetings and providing regular project updates Building and maintaining strong client relationships Ensuring projects are delivered to the company's high standardsAbout You: We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager with a strong background in fit out, refurbishment or commercial construction. You will ideally have: Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish A strong understanding of fit out/refurbishment projects Good commercial and contractual awareness Excellent communication and client management skills Strong leadership and organisational abilities The confidence to manage multiple projects and competing priorities A proactive, solutions-focused approach Relevant construction qualifications and/or significant industry experience A CSCS card and SMSTS are desirable, along with a full UK driving licence.
