Contracts Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Contract Manager for our client, a specialist mechanical contractor delivering major data centre and mechanical fit-out projects across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional to take ownership of project delivery, commercial performance and client relationships, with current projects primarily based in Finland and Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from tender handover through to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to required standards.
• Lead project and site teams, coordinating resources, procurement and programme delivery.
• Oversee forecasting, cost control, commercial plans and monthly CVRs.
• Manage project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
• Manage client, subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ, CDM and company policies.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to project teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing projects within a mechanical contracting environment.
• Experience delivering large-scale mechanical fit-out projects, ideally within data centres.
• Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management, cost control and forecasting.
• Experience with programming, procurement, design and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Minimum NVQ Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS, CSR or equivalent skills card.
• Willingness to travel to European project locations approximately 3 days per fortnight.
• Must hold an Irish or EU passport to facilitate travel and the right to work across European project locations.
