An established and highly regarded groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of residential groundworks projects across the South Coast.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or strong Project Manager with a groundworks background to join a well-established business with an excellent reputation within the residential construction sector.
The company has been established for over 30 years and specialises in groundworks and civil engineering for residential new-build developments, working alongside some of the UK's leading house builders.
Contracts Manager Job Description: As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing a number of residential groundworks projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required programme, quality and commercial standards.
You will work closely with Site Managers, commercial teams, clients and main contractors to ensure projects progress smoothly from mobilisation through to completion.
Contracts Manager Key Responsibilities Managing the successful delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects Taking overall responsibility for programme, progress, quality and delivery Working closely with Site Managers and operational teams to ensure projects remain on track Liaising with main contractors, house builders, clients and other key stakeholders Monitoring project performance and ensuring works are delivered in line with contractual requirements Supporting the commercial team with cost control, variations and project performance Managing programmes and resolving issues that may impact delivery Ensuring projects are delivered to the required health, safety and quality standards Attending site meetings and maintaining strong client relationships Identifying potential risks and implementing solutions to keep projects moving Providing leadership and support to the wider operational team Contracts Manager Candidate Criteria The successful candidate will have a strong background within groundworks and/or civil engineering, ideally gained within the residential new-build sector.
You will be an experienced Contracts Manager who is comfortable managing multiple projects and working with house builders and main contractors.
We would also be interested in speaking with experienced Senior Site Managers, Project Managers or Contracts Managers who have the technical and operational knowledge to step into a Contracts Management position.
Ideally, you will have: Proven experience within groundworks and residential construction Experience managing multiple sites or projects simultaneously Strong knowledge of residential groundworks Experience working with house builders or main contractors Strong programme and project management skills Good commercial awareness Excellent communication and client management skills The ability to lead and support site-based teams A strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery The Opportunity This is a genuine opportunity to join an established, family-run groundworks business with a long-standing presence in the South Coast construction market. xwzovoh
