Are you the type of engineer who enjoys seeing a machine you've programmed come to life on the shop floor?
We're recruiting for a highly experienced Software & Commissioning Engineer to join a growing automation business that designs and builds complex bespoke machinery for leading manufacturers.
This is not a maintenance role.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the development, programming, commissioning and optimisation of cutting-edge automated systems and robotics projects from concept through to customer handover.
What you'll be doing:
Developing PLC software and HMIs for bespoke automation systems.
Commissioning special purpose machinery and driving machine performance improvements.
Programming and integrating industrial robots including 6-axis, SCARA and Delta robots.
Performing FATs, SATs, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on advanced automation systems.
Working directly with customers during installation, commissioning and operator training.
We'd love to speak with engineers who have:
Strong PLC programming experience (Omron, Siemens or Allen-Bradley).
A background in special purpose machinery, robotics or automated manufacturing equipment.
Commissioning experience in a customer-facing environment.
The ability to fault-find electrical, controls and safety systems.
Experience integrating industrial robots into production environments. xwzovoh
Why this role stands out:
Technically challenging projects
Significant robotics and automation exposure

£55,000 - £75,000 salary depending on experience
