Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a not-for-profit organisation in Yorkshire who are seeking a conveyancing and property Legal Executive or Legal Officer to join their small, friendly in-house legal team


.
Our client is seeking someone with a legal background and prior conveyancing and property experience, who can proactively handle and progress residential sales through to completion, working to drive efficiencies in processe


s.
A legal executive (FILEx/CILEx) or equivalent qualification is preferred for this role, however candidates without such qualifications will also be considered as long as you have sufficient relevant experience for the ro


le.

The successful Legal Executive or Legal Officer

  • will:Assist the Solicitor in the delivery of legal services relating conveyancing, property transactions and tenancy law, including: shared ownership, open market sales, shared equity, right to buy/ acq
  • uire.Advised on sales contracts and preparing legal documenta
  • tion.Prepare of site-specific estate documenta
  • tion.Liaise with external solicitors, local authorities and Land Registry to ensure timely and compliant sales transact
  • ions.Handle resale of leasehold properties as well as handling staircasing transact
  • ions.Handle applications for consent to assignment and/or sublet
  • ting.Support preparation of legal packs to support auction s


ales.
Office attendance is required 2 days a week but this is flexible around business


needs.
