Counselling Lecturer (Level 4) Location: Further Education College Hours: 2 Days per Week (Thursday & Friday) Contract: Part-Time Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: Daytime Teaching Hours Overview We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Counselling Lecturer to join a thriving Further Education College on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to Level 4 Counselling learners, supporting students to develop both theoretical understanding and practical counselling skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified counselling professional who is passionate about education and student success. Key Responsibilities * Deliver Level 4 Counselling curriculum in line with awarding body requirements. * Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons and learning materials. * Assess student work and provide constructive feedback. * Track learner progress and maintain accurate records. * Support learners to achieve positive academic outcomes. * Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion. * Attend relevant team meetings and standardisation activities where required. Essential Requirements * Relevant counselling qualification at Level 4 or above. * Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, DET or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one. * Previous experience delivering counselling or related subjects. * Strong understanding of counselling theories, ethics and professional practice. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. Desirable * Assessing/Internal Quality Assurance qualifications. * Membership of a recognised professional counselling body (e.g. BACP, NCPS)
