Location: Swindon. Salary: £55,000+ (DOE). Experience: up to 3 years PQE. Ref: 4699.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a specialist team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to develop expertise in Property and Financial Affairs work while supporting vulnerable clients.
Responsibilities
- Expose to complex and rewarding work.
- Advise and support clients whose financial affairs are managed through Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, ensuring their interests are protected while delivering an exceptional standard of client care.
- Assist with the administration of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyships.
- Prepare Court of Protection applications, reports and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
- Work closely with clients, their families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other advisers.
- Attend client meetings and visits where required.
- Develop knowledge of related areas such as statutory wills, funding for care and welfare benefits.
Skills and Experience
- Up to 3 Years PQE as a Court of Protection Solicitor.
- Enthusiasm for Property and Financial Affairs matters.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with vulnerable clients and their supporters.
- Strong organisational, drafting and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines effectively.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
