Court of Protection Solicitor – NQ-3 PQE – Swindon – Hybrid Working
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a well‑established specialist team in Swindon.
This is a chance to become part of one of the largest Court of Protection teams in the UK, recognised by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. The team advises on Property & Financial Affairs Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, acting for a significant number of vulnerable clients and their families.
You'll work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers from the outset, gaining exposure to high‑quality work while gradually developing your own caseload. The team has a strong reputation for supporting junior lawyers, making this an ideal move for someone looking to build a long‑term career in this area.
The Role
Your work will include:
- Assisting with and managing Property & Financial Affairs Deputyship matters.
- Preparing Court of Protection applications and annual Deputy Reports.
- Supporting the financial management of clients, including budgeting, property transactions and ongoing administration.
- Assisting with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
- Liaising with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other advisers.
- Working alongside experienced Deputies, Partners and the wider Court of Protection team.
About You
You'll be a qualified Solicitor with up to three years' PQE and an interest in Court of Protection work.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
Candidates with experience in Private Client or other client‑facing areas who are looking to specialise in Court of Protection work are also encouraged to apply.
