The Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Licensing Service is responsible for the licensing, inspection and enforcement of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire drivers, vehicles and operators across the Bradford District. The key objectives of the service are to promote public safety for the public using taxi and private hire vehicles.We are looking for a part-time Team Leader to join the Customer and Business Support Team, in HCPH Licensing. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city, supporting our team, our licence holders and the travelling public. The main responsibilities of this role:Manage staff including undertaking supervision and appraisals, training and developing staff, dealing with attendance and performance issues, including presenting at hearings, and responsibility for recruitment and selectionEnsure that all activities of the team are carried out in accordance with a wide range of legal requirements including Equalities and Human rights legislation. To prepare accurate information in response to freedom of information and similar requests and help determine when exemptions from releasing information should apply.
